The Ogilvy Edge - Employee Spotlight of the Week!

He calls himself Richie Mensah (but we know otherwise, wink!), Social Media Manager by title, collaborator by nature, and chaos manager by experience. He believes the best ideas come with laughter, teamwork, and maybe a playlist running in the background. Ladies and gentlemen let’s give it up for his royal “Bobaness’ Richmond Mensah, our EOW for Ogilvy Edge....
If your life had a theme song, what would it be and why?
“Million Little Miracles” by Elevation Worship. Because honestly, every step of my journey, new opportunities, even the quiet wins, feel like proof that I’m being guided by grace. I’ve come far, not by chance, but through countless unseen blessings stacked like building blocks behind the scenes. What’s your guilty pleasure snack you’d never admit in a client meeting (but we’re all friends here)?
Anything meat—grilled gizzard, kelewele with sausage, khebabs drenched in that spicy green sauce. I tell myself it’s “just protein,” but deep down, I know I’m building a personal meat buffet. If you could swap jobs with any fictional character for a day, who would it be?
Ant-Man. Think about it, I’d shrink down, sneak into brainstorms, eavesdrop on competitors' strategies. What’s a totally useless talent you secretly love having?
I’ve mastered the art of decoding different types of Ghanaian “hmms.” There's “hmm-that's-cool,” “hmm-you're-in-trouble” and the dreaded “hmm-ok-we’ll-get-back-to-you.” It’s practically an emotional language on its own.Which emoji best represents your work vibe this week?
🎯🤹♂️Locked in like a sniper on a quarterly report but juggling three other tasks. “Focused chaos.”What recent project or task made you feel most proud, and why?
Launching the Blue Haven Chicken Delight project from scratch was a proud moment. From shaping the brand voice to plotting out its social debut, it felt like raising a digital chick into a bold new brand. How do you keep your creativity or motivation alive during a busy week?
Worship music grounds me—Maverick City, Hillsong, and Elevation Worship are like background fuel for my soul. And when things get overwhelming, I zoom out, breathe, and remember I prayed for the work I now get to do. That alone keeps me going. What’s one tool, tip, or habit that’s changed how you work?
Time-blocking. I break my day into mini "sprints" so I don’t get buried in content calendars or forget to eat lunch. What’s your favourite part of the Ogilvy culture or your team dynamic?
It’s the energy for me. Everyone brings something unique to the table, no egos, just mad respect and collaboration. We get the job done, but we laugh, we banter, and somehow still pull off magic by deadline. If you could lead a training session for the team, what would you teach?
Honestly? Nothing. We are too good. I’d probably just show up with snacks and pretend to facilitate while soaking up everyone else’s brilliance.
That's all for this week's Spark!
